HEAD BANGING was great as always!

September 7th, 2008

big thanks to the Hot Heads East who do the whole Head Banging event with the great 1/8 mile race. it was a great weekend and if i wouldn t have to be here in berlin this evening i probably would have stayed until the last one left :-) i met a lot of people and saw a great race. and as always the wheather was really warm too. i don t know what kind of deal they made but there must be something as it was rainin here when i left berlin while it was dry and warm overthere. only in the evening the rain started. would have been great with out rain… but: good timing.  on rain wet runway it s impossible for most of the cars and motorcycles to race. so that would have been a big bummer…cheers to all the friends i met and the nice people i get to know. see you soon!

for the first time missed a flight

August 7th, 2008

this is some of the worst shit ever. had to work yesterday night because I some how missed the date on the list of shifts I would not be able to cover due to the hot rod journeys. that was already fucked up as I had a lot of stuff to do during these two days between Sweden and England being in Berlin. but anyways so I through all the stuff in the bags and rushed to the job. of course there was not much to do. I was able to finish at about 3:30 and then pack the rest of my stuff and go to sleep for two hours. and then the most fucked up shit happened: i somehow overheard the alarm and woke up at 9 while checkin ends at 9:15. but the airport is absolutely on the opposite side of town…well yeah to make it short it was not possible to call them to wait, I arrived 15min before take-off and all the last minute flights would start at 250,- €. but luckily except for easyjet: 51,-€so tomorrow another try- same time same place.it’s sad that i can’t meet the people i wanted to meet before goin tomorrow to the Hot Rod Hayride… this is me in front of Nicklas’ rusty hot rod in which I joined him for the second race run at A Bombers

Off to England- off to Hot Rod Hayride

didn t manage to put up some photos of A Bombers Oldstyle Weekend… to much to do for such a short time at home…more next week when i ll  be back

two great things!

August 5th, 2008

two great things took place this weekend while i was in Sweden. two things i had the first time the opportunity to do.first one was that i had the chance to drive Jonas`Hot Rod for about 1/2 hour from the meeting to the race spot. that was great: the first time that i actually drove a Hot Rod by myself! thanks a lot Jonas! the Hot Rod is big fun and so is his little sister the Triumph 2cyl 500ccm i also had the chance to try out. oh but ridin a Hot Rod is even more fun that i was already sure it would be… the second thing was that i could join someone for a race run in the car! but not just someone- no. Nicklas took me for a run! wow. full risk, full power, full slide…. THAT WAS GREAT! but it was over to quick……oh, yes that was a great day! and a little head of whipped cream came on later: Ray Collins`s Hot Club were performing live that night.

I am very sorry-but now there s better ones!

August 5th, 2008

I am very sorry for those of you who put my sticker on their car. while givin stickers to people i tried to keep on telling that it`s paper based and should not be put on car paint. but obviously i didn`t tell everybody. when it gets wet several times or for longer or gets burned by the sun it quickly changes to shit-lookin and cheap but being hard to get peeled off.  so i have to apologize to all of you who put it right up on your hot rods, customs, motorcycles or other vehicles.BUT! my friend Nicklas from Sweden saw that problem and printed me new stickers as a gift. and what do you think? these stickers printed by Nicklas company f1 textdecor are made of thin pvc or some equivalent! so the stay or get off in one piece!! isn t that great? so, the new ones are the oval ones. please ask me when you meet me and you ll get a new one! the old ones, the square ones, will be used as card and indoor sticker.THANKS AGAIN NICKLAS!
