last thursday I packed my books, frames and stuff into the great Hopped-Up bus and drove it all the way over to the UK. about 1200 km that is in cluding a short ferry trip across the channel.
Jerry Chatabox and the Rockabilly Rave had invited Hopped-Up to have a stand right next to the bands’ signing table in the main hall. Thanks again, Jerry for that!
I met a whole lot of nice people. among these my friends Sarina, Teresa and Sergio with who I shared a chalet. But also Frieda, Till and Kasi from Berlin and Leipzig, Rob from Robs Chop Shop from Dallas, Texas, and Terry and some guys from the Executioners. I got to know some really nice people as for example Maaike and Ade of Roundup Records from Sheffield and their friends, too.
I can now tell it is not really recommandable to do a stall alone- exspecially when you are there from 3 pm to 2 am everyday. But nevertheless I had a good time at the Rave.
The pictures document pretty good what I did
not that much party for me this time.
Again I got loads of great feedback for the book! And thanks to those who bought it! For example: ( see photos) Marti Brom, artist from the states and Ade of Roundup Records.
For those who didn’t want to take it as extra luggage please do not forget to order it through here!
all the very best to everyone I met!

Mike got his copy of the book. my friend Sammy, the fantastic designer of Redcat7, delivered it to him as I was in the UK for the Rockabilly Rave. thanks Sammy! She told me he was really into the first pages.

Dear friends and followers!
we’ve come a long way but now we’re getting closer and closer to the finishing line!
I picked up the two CDs from the printing company North Video in Czech Republic on saturday ( and listened to it: omg, it f***** rocks!!) and managed to get them to the book printer Seltmann through family-transports. Thanks a lot to everyone involved!
later today I’ll have a look with my grafic designer on the testprints and then tomorrow the will START THE PRINTING!
and now let me invite you to the RELEASE event of Hopped-Up! it’s goin to take place in Berlin’s notorious White Trash Fast Food. From 6 pm on it will be a photoexhibition and the opportunity to buy the book directly from me and - for those who like to- get it signed or fingerprinted (…well…) from 8pm there will be Dj LOBOTOMY playing the best of rhythm’n'blues, rockabilly, western swing, northern soul and a little 60ties wild garage. playing LIVE will be the great CRY BABIES (USA/ GER) with their sexabilly swingaling rockabilly versus LARS VEGAS & THE LOVE GLOVES (GER) playing their energetic rhythm’n'blues!
In front of the place will be standing some really nice handpicked HOT RODS and if you come early (I know it’s hard for you Berliners) you might get one of the free drinks
for all of you guys and girls who come from outside of Berlin please let me know if you need help with accomodation and so on!!
